Costa de Cocos (bungalows pictured at right) is located at Xcalak on the southeastern tip of the Yucatan peninsula. It is difficult to speak about the fishing opportunities that are offered at Costa de Cocos without getting excited. Sport fishing in the area is virtually unknown by the locals and untapped by anyone else. This virgin aspect of the surrounding area provides tremendous opportunity for exploration. Bonefish, tarpon, permit, snook, snapper and "cuda" are present in substantial numbers. State of the art flat boats and some exceptionally savvy local guides are available to take you to areas that have never seen a fisherman.
