For your convenience, a wonderful Mexican family resides in the casita next to the villa’s courtyard to serve you. They provide daily maid service, grounds keeping and general maintenance. Their presence also provides security while the you are out exploring the area. For an additional charge, a cook is available upon request.

A stunning open entry features two skylight domes and a stairway leading to an inner balcony overlooking the first floor. A half bath is off the entry foyer.

There are four bedrooms, all of which have oceanfront balconies for glorious views of the Caribbean. All bedrooms also have private baths (two of which have shower, double vanity and oversized tile tubs; other two have tile showers and single vanities). Three of the bedrooms have king size beds; fourth bedroom has two double beds.

Villa Gummerson has plenty of living spaces, inside and out. Enjoy a siesta in a hammock on the lower level patio, lounge by the pool or retreat to the rooftop observation area and gaze at the stars. Every room inside the villa has a ceiling fan which aids the ocean breeze to provide a comfortable climate. Though seldom necessary, when needed you can flip on the air conditioning in each of the bedrooms and in the kitchen.

The spacious kitchen has all the necessities. Prepare a full meal or mix up a batch of margaritas. In addition to the dining room table, there is a snack counter . Make yourself at home in the comfortable living room which is complete with satellite TV, DVD player and CD stereo.

Villa Gummerson is conveniently located in Tankah, which is only 10 miles from the historic ruins of Tulum. There are couple of casual restaurants a short walk from the villa, or you can drive into Akumal (about 20 minutes away) for more of a selection. Tulum also offers a selection of restaurants, bars and local markets. Playa del Carmen, 50 minutes north of Tankah, offers a bunch of restaurants and lots of shopping.
